Alumni Hall Baton Rouge Helps Give LSU Fans, Alumni, and Students an LSU Fan Experience

Alumni Hall Baton Rouge is one of the 32 national franchise locations across the United States. Alumni Hall serves as a hometown college team fan store. However, the Baton Rouge location serves as the only Alumni Hall in Louisiana, meaning it is geared strictly for LSU fans.

LSU fans, alumni, and students visit the store daily to get merchandise to yell Geaux Tigers and support all LSU athletics. The store has made several appearances in the Baton Rouge community to help build its clientele and to give fans an avenue to support their favorite college.

Kevin Hicks has been the manager at the store for 7 months. However, he loves to show up to work with his staff and engage in conversations with the customers, creating a fun environment for fans and the public.

Hicks says, “It’s for the purple and gold, man. We bleed purple and gold out this way. So that’s something we take pride in.”

The store has also served some notable LSU alumni who have come to shop there.

Hicks says, “We've had Simone Augustus come through here.”

The store has also made itself a popular face to LSU athletics and the LSU community, creating meet and greets and future partnerships with athletics.

Hicks says, “We typically do meet and greets with the basketball teams. This year, we’re trying to get the baseball team in. Gymnastics, we’re trying to get them in as well.”

According to the Bensussen Deutsch & Associates Blog, it speaks about how custom sports merchandise drives in more fan engagement by allowing fans to feel more involved with the team.

Furthermore, according to the Rockland County Times, sports merchandise increases team spirit, which helps bring more crowd atmosphere and participation to the events with the jerseys and other antics.

Hicks says, “It’s a lot of excitement, man. It’s a lot of visors being bought, man. They’re riding the lane train, man.”
